• fixes for decadal (DCPP) runs for C3S:

  • still in progress

• clisops updates:

  • monthly and annual averaging
    • we agreed that breaking up clisops.core into many small/specific functions would be appropriate

• STAC meeting with CMIP6 in Cloud meetings:

  • planning frontend and backend technical meetings - will send out very soon

• PyWPS update:

  • moving to v4.5

3. Project updates: relevant Ouranos/CRIM projects [David/Tom]

Ouranos (DH):

• xESMF:
  • bug fixes for spatial averaging
  • previously: moved from scipy to sparse array backend
  • NOTE: avoid version 0.6.1 of xESMF to avoid the above issue
• Working on tests for clisops subsetting before averaging
  • wait for xESMF release, then merge PR and create new release

CRIM (TL):

• 2 colleagues volunteered to engage with CWT/STAC work
• Living Planet Symposium:
  • could we put a joint abstract in?
  • title: "...climate services...reinterpret...our vision for delivering them..."?
• Phil Kershaw to give keynote speech at project mtg
• CRIM is currently leading on the S2S (Sub-seasonal to Seasonal) prediction system for ECMWF/WMO - using Machine Learning:
  • system can generate predictions for time/region
  • 5-10% better than using climatologies
• CSA project on thematic exploration platforms (for EO)
