What are the new Notifier advantages

Some questions:

1. Do i have to migrate to the new Notifier / AsyncNotifier / FamilyNotifier / ... in the long term?
2. If yes, what are the advantages?

Currently this is my understanding:
if dependencies of a StateNotifierProvider had changed, the Notifier was rebuild and lost its current state.

The new Notifier prevents this with his build() method, being able to react to that change and do not loose the current state.

If this is correct (and i don't think this could be) than the main problem is, that the build() method can't access 'state' as it has no state in the first run (and therefor can't depend on it at any time later) ultimately always returning a 'new initial state'.

• I should mention that i am not using AsyncValue in any case as it is unpractical for my state handling.
