Examples stop responding when rendering paused (Wayland)

Steps to reproduce:

1. cargo run --example window
2. switch to a different workspace
3. you get the "not responding" popup

Examples use vsync which is expected on Wayland to block when it's not visible. We can update example to show case the pre_present_notify.
