Cache cleanup? #1607

From my experience not much you can do about it (cache is cleaned up automatically anyway) unless you stop using cache all together ( Rustic caches repo metadata and cache size depends on factors like number of files you backup, numbers of snapshots etc. I guess you have millions of files in your backup? You can always delete all cache by hand (it is fully ephemeral) but unless it contains some rubbish it will grow back again to its original size. |

On a server I have a large /root/.cache/rustic/xxx/data directory (19 GiB) which I'd like to somehow shrink . I've tried performing "forget" and "prune" without the .cache directory getting smaller. Is there something I can do to tame the .cache directory size?
