On machine boot, how to avoid agenix asking passphrase of ssh key?

Hi there, I'm very new to the nixos system and I'm barely staying at the surface. I've finally managed to get agenix working on my laptop, however on reboot of the machine, my nixos starting logo will spin forever unless I press esc. Then I'm asked to enter my ssh key passphrase as many times as agenix is being called. That's a bit annoying to boot a laptop, not the end of the world, but I can't seem to see any problems related to that, so I imagine I must have set up something wrong.

1. why is it called on boot? any way to avoid this ?
2. why am i asked to enter the passphrase as many times as the key is being used? can't this be stored in a ssh-agent?
