I've noticed with the below build:
Current Version: 1.0.7.2
Assembly Version: 1.0.7.26543
I can sometimes put in a workstation name (non-fqdn) and it will not be able to ping the device, yet clicking the 'Connect' button, it is able to connect to the device perfectly fine and perform tasks, etc. and from memory the same issue happens if I use FQDN also.
I can't use IP Address as it errors out and says
"The WinRM client cannot process the request. Default authentication may be used with an IP address under the following conditions: the transport is HTTPS or the destination is in the TrustedHosts list, and explicit credentials are provided. Use winrm.cmd to configure TrustedHosts. Note that computers in the TrustedHosts list might not be authenticated. For more information on how to set TrustedHosts run the following command: winrm help config. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic."
I also noticed and not sure if this is related, but if I click on Tools -> Shares and try and navigate to a log file, it launches CMTrace.exe and CMTrace says that the location doesn't exist but asks if I to try and open it anyway, clicking yes just presents a blank CMTrace.exe.
I have to manually authenticate to the share location, and then I can use the shares button to access the shares, or the log button to access the log file.
Any help is appreciated, thanks so much.
