Feature request: Pass source ip via proxy protocol

In the BUGS AND LIMITATIONS section, you mension
"The server redirected to is not able to identify the host the client really came from."

Might the proxy protocol http://www.haproxy.org/download/2.8/doc/proxy-protocol.txt
be a solution for this problem?

I think that PROXY protocol v2 can help here and is can be implemented in userspace.
