When importing objects from one instance A to instance B, a generic user is created in instance B.
In some cases, we would like to connect the generic user in instance B with a "real" user in instance B, such that object lists filtered for the "real" user in instance B also list the imported objects of the generic user in instance B. This applies for colleagues working with both instances (e.g. iffsamples and erc-samples).
The option would provide more convenience in locating and working with the object in instance B.

A linking of local user accounts and imported users has been implemented in the current develop branch with the concept of federated identities and will be included in a future release.
It allows linking users manually by logging into the federated database or automatically by confirmed email-addresses.
