Would be great if the pins magically get coloured based on some sensible (column?) choice.
I suggest doing the thing that the "Summarise automatically" tool does to find columns that have only a small number of values (>1) and use that column as the basis for a colour label.
For example, the "ocean" column in my JASL data: https://beta.scraperwiki.com/dataset/ahcf7ma/view/d4bk4cy (user climatecode.org) only has the value "atlantic", "indian", or "pacific"; so choosing that and having one of 3 colour would be great.
