biome vs prettier

Pros:

• biome is much faster than prettier
• prettier’s pre-commit repo is archived, biome’s is actively maintained

Cons:

• biome doesn’t format YAML yet, so we lose that
• biome doesn’t version its pre-commit repo, so autoupdate doesn’t work for it: Additional dependencies shouldn't be needed  biomejs/pre-commit#5
