I am wondering what other devs think about the default shadcn current border defaults for borders on input items. It currently defaults to border-input. Does this make the most sense? With it set this way, you really need to be careful to keep your
--inputand--bordercolors set to the same thing (or close) which is shadcn default. In our system, we have
--borderset to gray-800 and--inputset to black, which makes the borders disappear. It seems to me input components should use the more explicitborder-border. This way, you can have more flexibility with the two vars. Is it me or does the current setup "encourages" you to keep --border and --input the same color, which defeats the purpose of having separate tokens. Are there something I am missing? Anyone else change border-input to border-border on input components?Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
