The install command given in the README does not work:

$ sudo gem install gpx2kml
ERROR:  Could not find a valid gem 'gpx2kml' (>= 0) in any repository
ERROR:  Possible alternatives: ip2kml

this should work:
gem build gpx2kml.gemspec
gem install gpx2kml.gemspec
