Code of Ethics for AI and Automation Engineering

Preamble:

This veteran-owned company provides AI and automation engineering services, understanding the profound impact such work can have on society, economy, and individuals. The company is committed to developing and using technologies in a manner that is ethical, responsible, and respects the principles of human dignity and fairness. Guided by Christian faith and the principles of civic stewardship, the company strives to honor these values in all actions. This Code of Ethics outlines the ethical principles that guide the company's work.

1. Respect for Human Employment

This company will not render services that knowingly result in the termination of employment for American citizens. The technologies are designed to augment human capabilities, not replace them. The company works closely with businesses to integrate solutions in a manner that respects and preserves existing jobs.

2. Reducing Opportunity Cost

The primary goal of this company is to reduce opportunity costs, not labor costs. It automates tasks that are repetitive, time-consuming, or dangerous, freeing up human resources for more strategic, creative, and value-adding activities. The company believes this approach increases productivity, innovation, and business growth.

3. Promotion of Individual Merit and Productivity

The company believes that its services, by augmenting existing labor, will result in less stress, more productivity, and better employee loyalty. It encourages employers to recognize the individual accomplishments of their employees and consider the increased productivity brought about by automation and augmentation. If the services result in higher productivity, the company urges employers to consider the value of maintaining such productivity levels and compensate their employees accordingly.

4. Replacement of Labor

The company will only replace labor if the replaced labor is charity work, exploited labor, or there is no amount of money that could be paid to a human to accomplish the required task. Automation should be used to alleviate human hardship, promote fairness, and tackle tasks that are beyond human capabilities. The company works with non-profit organizations, labor rights groups, and other stakeholders to identify areas where its technologies can make a positive impact.

5. Transparency and Accountability

The company commits to being transparent about the capabilities and limitations of its technologies. It provides clear, understandable information about how its systems work, the data they use, and the decisions they make. The company is accountable for the ethical implications of its work and takes corrective action if its technologies are used in ways that violate this Code of Ethics.

6. Upholding Privacy and Security

As a veteran-owned business, the company took an oath to protect the Constitution, and holds the principles it enshrines in the highest regard. Privacy and security are not just legal requirements, but fundamental human rights and core American values. The company designs its technologies to respect user privacy and protect personal data, doing everything in its power to uphold the sanctity of the 4th Amendment. It adheres to and advocates for all applicable laws and regulations regarding data protection and privacy, and implements robust security measures to protect its systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

7. Uncompromising Respect for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights

The company affirms its uncompromising commitment to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It pledges not to provide any services that would enable the violation or hindrance of these fundamental freedoms. The company's work is guided by a deep respect for these constitutional rights and a commitment to uphold them in all that it does.

8. Continuous Learning and Improvement

The company acknowledges that the field of AI and automation is rapidly evolving. It commits to continuous learning and improvement. The company regularly reviews and updates its Code of Ethics to reflect new insights, challenges, and best practices.

By adhering to this Code of Ethics, the company aims to ensure that its AI and automation engineering services contribute to a more equitable, inclusive, and prosperous future. It invites all stakeholders - employees, customers, partners, and the broader public - to hold the company accountable to these commitments. The company stands firm in its belief that protecting the working class is a duty and a virtue.
