Further clarifications regarding provider updates

in #193 you wrote:

I would like to ask you (Sidero Labs) if "updating the providers" also include CAPI updates e.g. support for v1beta2, update to CAPI v1.12.x or if this is categorized as "new features".

Really appreciate any further details on how updating is handled in the future.
