Overview

Our current si-sort-bar component is not aligned with our design system and has several issues:

Current Problems

• Missing use case examples: We don't maintain this component on figma and recommend to use it with some other components but we don't have any examples showcasing that. I doubt if any one even using it.
• Incorrect color usage: Uses element-ui-4 as background color, which is designated for borders.
• Non-standard typography: 12px font size doesn't align with our component library standards.
• Inconsistent focus states: Focus rings vary in size across sort items, with active sort items displaying disproportionately larger rings.
• Poor API design: Emits HttpParam objects with undocumented custom parameter keys, forcing consumers to either:
  • Ensure their APIs accept these specific key names, or
  • Extract and transform the parameters manually

Proposal

We have two option:

Option 1: Deprecation

Deprecate in v49 and remove the component entirely in v50 without providing a replacement.

Option 2: Refactor

Address all above mentioned issues.

@spike-rabbit thanks for pointing this, i did missed it haha. I dont think i know this component...i was once told that it was a technical thing, but im not sure how we intend to use this. Maybe we should have a talk around this?
