Bug description
Since last (android) signal update the following bug appeared: if the quality of the picture is too good (concretely 200MP in the photo app settings on a Samsung Galaxy s24 ultra for instance, but not for 50MP) the picture appears as black in the thumbnails list when you want to attach it from signal, and if you click on galery in signal then you'll have your galery displayed in signal with black thumbnails for all pictures of high quality. Same happens if you don't try to attach it from signal but if you go in the gallery app, click on a high quality picture and share it via signal. Anyways if you still insist to attach such a picture to a chat, it will first at selection appear as black and if you still send it, the send will fail and appear as a black picture with a barred picture icon in the center of it + a "report" small clickable button on the top left of it. Of course, the "sent media quality" option is set to "high" and has always been. Manage storage is ~24GB but is not the problem as low and medium quality don't suffer the issue I am reporting. This bug is particularly annoying because 1) it is a huge regression 2) it force to either have two quality versions for any pictures you'd send via signal or only take low/medium quality pictures with your phone.
