Massive battery usage on Android (due to continuously repeating "Your safety number with Ana has changed" messages)

Bug description

Since yesterday I keep receiving the same message "Your Safety Number with Ana has changed" (my translation from German message - see screenshot) in the Signal Desktop App (v7.61.10 on Linux) over and over in a certain group chat.
The safety number shown is however always the same.

Today the Signal App (v. 7.47.2 on Android 11) has been using 52% of the battery, which it has never done before. When I stop the Signal App on my phone, these safety number changed messages stop in the desktop app. When I restart the Android app, the "saftey number changed" messages resume immediately.

I also tried leaving the group and rejoining. It didn't help.

It looks like I solved the issue for now:
I "verified" the safety number, which felt quite strange, because neither have I really verified that number nor do I even know the person.

However, I got one more "safety number changed" message, it was automatically unverified again and for now the problems seem to be gone.

One strange behavior still remains:
The desktop app on Linux now calls the person "unknown contact" while the Android app still says "Ana".
