Improper rotation to an acceptable proper rotation?

Currently, we check to see if the determinant of the rotation matrix is negative and throw a warning. However, tools like LeoCAD do not have an issue rendering the objects. This makes me believe there is an equivalent proper rotation that captures the orientation that we desire. Is there a way we could catch the improper rotation and substitute a sufficient proper rotation in place?

Added the ability to suppress the warning if desired. Still a "hack" and can/should be improved upon.
