Run script on Raspberry Pi

The script is great, however it cannot be run on Linux machine as msvcrt is Windows only library. I would like to use my Raspberry Pi to collect data from the inverter. Unfortunately, I could not get it to work as my experience with Python is non-existent. Would it be possible to port it?

I'm not sure what you are referring to. there is no reference to msvcrt in these sources. numpy/matplotlib quite possibly may reference that but in that case you will need to install the right python libraries.

I have the same on Raspberry PI.
Line 17 does refer to this library.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. That line can be removed and it should work as it is.

Thanks! I just installed it on windows, but there I had to add import msvcrt to make it work.
And the example in the readme needs a second dash: -initDB -> --initDB
