Hello,
Could you please tell me your OS and the version of SocNetV you are using?

Good morning,
Thank you so incredibly much for taking the time to respond to my email.
The version I am using is 2.9.
Once again thank you.

Hello,
Can you please tell me your Operating System? Is it Windows?
Also, can you please try to elaborate on the circumstances of the crashes
you experience? Are you manually creating a network on the canvas?
If so, does it crash when you create a new node? Or an edge?
If possible, can you please upload a dataset with which the app crashes? Or
even upload some video of you working with it?
I am asking this because I need more info in order to investigate this
issue.

I am currently using a microsoft computer an Acer. Yes, I am manually
inputting data and creating networks. The system tends to crash when I
delete a relation and then create the same relation again, or most often
when I am creating a network with greater than 50 nodes. I was wondering if
I could potentially meet with someone over zoom or video chat because I
have several questions with regards to the system. The clashing is only one
of the problems I am currently facing. When the network is 'too large' (50+
nodes) it glitches by alsi changing the names of relations and completely
ruining hours of work put into creating these networks.
Thank you.

I am not sure how to reproduce this.
First of all, there is no functionality to "delete" a relation in SocNetV.
Do you mean that you are deleting an edge, perhaps?
Also, the program cannot/should not change a relation name without user
input.
Finally, I just tried creating a network with over 50 actors and I see no
problem. Check out the attached video.

ok so.
1. yes,I meant the edge instead of relation it seems that the moment the
programs gets confused or overwhelmed it just stops working and shuts off
automatically.
2. Below I have attached a network I developed that the system won't even
let me open anymore (not sure why) I have also attached a photo of what it
looks like when I try to open it.
3. it might let me make 51,52,53 but consistently after 50 relations the
software seems to shut off.
Do these help you further understand the depth of my problem?
Once again thank you for your help.

On top of that being my main concern, I also have additional questions
1. How do I delete a node?
2. Is there a way to go back if I made a mistake or do I manually have to
fix the mistake myself?
3. Is there another way to create connections instead of manually having to
create one by one?
If possible could we meet over a phone call, or a way for me to get more
help in navigating this system so that I become more efficient at using it?
Once again I appreciate all your time and consideration.

Hello again,
|
Perfect, thank you again.
How do I attach the file to the Github issue #127 because currently I can
only view the email option?
Thank you for answering my other questions.

Hello again,
There is no attachment (it seems github does not add email attachments).
Please either attach the data file to the Github issue: #127
<#127> or just send it directly by
email to ***@***.***
1. If you have a multirelational network, you cannot delete nodes.
2. There is no undo functionality in SocNetV. It would be a nice
future feature (#31 <#31>).
3. You can create easily edges by double clicking on a node (which
will be the source) and the double clicking on a another node (the target
node).

Yes, Github is a platform where we host the code of open-source
applications like SocNetV, and it allows issue tracking.
But please, let's continue this conversation over email. Send me an email
to ***@***.***, and we will take it from there.

I am currently using the Social Network Visualizer for work and it seems to continuously crash on my computer. Every time I reach up to 50 nodes it always crashes. It changes names of my relations and even messes up the relation connections. I really need help fixing this problem, at this point I feel like I spend more time fixing the system mistakes rather than working on the project. Thank you
