Is it possible to add metadata to nodes that can show up in some type of external exportable format (e.g. xml) that will allow users to separately organize and divide graphs by that metadata?
Example:
You have a graph where the nodes are people and the edges are connections (people that know each other or are related). An example metadata could be demographics, work years, age, etc. The graph division could be of the sort where the graph is divided by demographic or age groups.

I imported my data as an Edge List file, but there is corresponding Node List.
In other SNA software, such as Gephi, there is a Node Table to import node attributes. This is needed when analyzing a large data set. It's prohibitive to manually add node attributes for thousands of nodes.
