Create New Task on the fly

In the time tracker, I can add new "what are you working on" which will result as the "description", and choose existing project/task, but I cannot create a new task in an existing project.

Currently, one has to go to "projects > edit > add new task" each time.

It would be nice to have a on the fly feature to add new tasks while tracking time.
This should also become part of the desktop app (where this is basically of biggest use)

Yes this is currently the flow. The idea being that you often create tasks in block or you create them afterwards and reassign the time entries via the description with the mass edit feature.
If this does not fit your flow feel free to create a feature request. This can then be upvoted by other users to see how big the demand is for a feature like that.

That makes sense, however I would miss the "create task" on the fly feature from clockify. Not saying SolidTime has to be a replicate of the latter, just that this would be something I miss strongly if moving from Clockify.
