Contributing to SourceGuide

Welcome to SourceGuide! We appreciate your interest in contributing to our project. By contributing, you help make SourceGuide better for everyone. Please take a moment to read the following guidelines.

How to Contribute

  1. Fork the repository to your GitHub account.

  2. Clone the forked repository to your local machine.

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/main.git
  3. Create a new branch for your contribution.

    git checkout -b feature/your-contribution 
    

4.Make your changes and commit them.

  1. Add your changes:

    git add .
  2. Commit your changes with a detailed message:

    git commit -m "Add your detailed commit message here"
  3. Push your changes to your forked repository.

    git push origin feature/your-contribution
    
  4. Open a pull request (PR) from your forked repository to the main SourceGuide repository.

Code Contribution Guidelines

  • Follow the coding style and conventions used in the project.
  • Write clear and concise code with appropriate comments.
  • Test your changes thoroughly to ensure they work as expected.
  • If your contribution is a new feature, provide documentation for it.

Report Issues

If you find any issues or bugs, please open an issue in the issue tracker. Provide a detailed description, steps to reproduce, and any relevant information.
