Hey there! It's inspired by shadcn/ui which explains the reason for that on as part of their new docs: https://ui.shadcn.com/docs The short answer is: If we let you own the code you can customize it however you need for your project. A simple example would be if your company had its own icons you can simply change the component in your project because we just copied it. With an npm package that wouldn't be possible in the same way. Does that make sense? |
