I am a Mac and iOS developer who started in the 1990s, initially on PowerPrint printer driver pack for classic Mac OS, and then with many commercial startups and clients that ended up unsuccessful. This experience over the last many years has soured my taste for commercial software. I am now attempting to release my own software under the name Bananameter Labs; for the time being there's no company behind that name, just myself. I'm planning for everything I make to be open source, and I'm trying the model of free with optional payment, or optional upgrade (in-app purchases etc).
