Previous Posts In Thread Duplicated In Timeline/Feed For Every Reply

what it says on the tin. when someone replies to themselves making a thread of posts it will duplicate the previous posts over and over again in your timeline/feed.

additionally, and likely related to this, reposts will duplicate every single time they are reposted and not cull previous iterations of it.

this does not appear to be an issue on vanilla bsky's timelines/feeds

I recently added a “Hide reply source post” option.
This prevents the reply tree from being displayed, thus avoiding duplication.
Unlike the official client, TOKIMEKI does not delete previously retrieved posts, but keeps the read position.
There is a risk in “whistling” past posts.

However, I will continue to look for a better way to display them.
