Find pane is too wide after searching for a long string

Since the update to the latest release, the layout of the "Find" pane seems to be broken.

When I open the pane, it is not possible to resize it and it is extremely large by default...
Here's how it looks like:

(I'm using Spyder 6.0.5 on Windows, installed with conda-forge)

I'd be grateful if you could fix this since I consider the "Find" pane very very useful :-)

Hey @raphaelquast, thanks for reporting. I can't reproduce this problem on Linux.

@dalthviz, do you see this problem on Windows with 6.0.5?

I think I was able to reproduce this by searching for a really long text:

Do you have by any chance any long text stored as a searched item over the Write text to search combobox @raphaelquast @jacksund ? If that is the case, as a workaorund, you could manually remove the long search entry from the combobox by deleting it from the stored preferences at <path to user dir>/.spyder-py3/config/spyder.ini. The specific entry should be available over the [find_in_files] section, it is named search_text. For example, I tested reproducing this by searching with aaaaa... as text so over my config file I have:

After I removed that entry and relaunched Spyder I was able to show the Find pane with a more constrained width:

yep! This fixed it for me. My most recent search was a long molecule query:
