How to interact with Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem STAC API ?

Greetings,

Does anyone have any idea on how to interact with the CDSE STAC API ?

I am able to get a valid connection, fetch collections and search for items, but I unable to download assets due to not knowing how to setup authentication.

If anyone knows how to solve this please share :)

the showstopper is even earlier for me:
Get conformance classes and Test connection succeeds, but Fetch collections return 0 STAC collection(s)

If I click search without any collection or filter enabled, I get some random results
