QGIS background task for loading assets was terminated (Digital Earth Africa)

Just started playing with this plugin today - very cool!

i noticed that for all Digital Earth Africa (DEA) assets that have a COG available, when I try to Add selected assets as layers I get the above error: "QGIS background task for loading assets was terminated"

I haven't gotten any of the COGs I've tried from DEA to work, but you should be able to reproduce by selecting CHIRPs rainfall daily/ or monthly? Unless of course I am missing something obvious which is also likely.

I am not sure where would be the best place to post this as not sure where the error originates from.
