Yes. I'm having the same issue - Desktop App v3.196.6 - MacBook Pro M1 2021 - 16GB Sequoia 15.5 I have Desktop App version 3.195.13 on another laptop—MacBook Air M1 2020 - 16GB Sequoia 15.5—and it's fine. IOS is fine, and the browser version is fine. I have 270 Notes (514.11kb - total) |
Is it possible that the intel compatible version has been installed by any chance? I have observed that the website can sometimes default to download the intel compatible version (something like mac-x64.dmg) rather than the arm version (mac-arm64.dmg). |
That did the trick, thanks a lot git-noise. I've reinstalled Standard Notes in its ARM incarnation, and Standard Notes is again running like a breeze. Now, why/how on Earth did I end up with an Intel version, when I'd had Standard Notes running normally for several months on my Apple Silicon MacBook, that's a mystery. Anyway, it now works, than you. |
Yep.. That's it! |
Describe the bug
The Standard Notes desktop application has become incredibly slow on my Mac since about 4-6 weeks ago, without me knowingly changing any parameter. Works fine on iOS.
