Error Message "missing ffmpeg and/or ffprobe" with selective scan

I just moved to a new M4 Mac Mini (previously on a i5 2018 Mac Mini). I used Time Machine to move my entire setup (including StashDB) to the new machine. Everything is working just dandy except when I try to do a selective scan of folders to add new files to my Stash. Each time I receive this error message:

"missing ffmpeg and/or ffprobe"

Any thoughts on what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks for your help.

i5 mac mini is using x86-64, the M4 is ARM64, delete ffmpeg and ffprobe from the local directory and either redownload or install it via homebrew

Pretty much a noob here when it comes to getting into the guts of my mac. Is there a step by step guide out there or do you have any sage counsel on how to accomplish this?

Assuming your stash is installed at the default path and not in docker

rm $HOME/.stash/ffmpeg
rm $HOME/.stash/ffprobe

or navigate to your User folder and the hidden .stash folder and delete ffmpeg and ffprobe

Then go to Settings -> System -> Downlaod FFmpeg

I navigated to the User folder and the hidden .stash folder and deleted ffmpeg and ffprobe. Settings -> System -> Download FFmpeg. I'm still getting the same error: "missing ffmpeg and/or ffprobe".

Any additional ideas on what I should try.

Try downloading the ffmpeg and ffprobe static builds for Apple Silicon here https://www.osxexperts.net/, (Intel) will not work

and make sure you delete ffmpeg/ffprobe eagain before replacing them

Also see the addendum for removing file from quarantine, I don't have a mac to test with but it's been an issue we've encountered with stash

If it still fails, try running ffmpeg manually to see if it's still quarantined, otherwise grab ffmpeg/ffprobe from btbN and hope the linux build is enough

I tried all of those things and nothing works. I'm getting the same error message.

Should I delete everything form my machine and do a complete fresh install? Or are there other options.

Then make sure you don't have ffmpex executable path or ffprobe executable path overridden and post your debug logs as you run it
