Does Stash modify the files in any way?

I read this: "Library¶

This section allows you to add and remove directories from your library list. Files in these directories will be included when scanning. Files that are outside of these directories will be removed when running the Clean task."

and my question is, does Stash have the ability to delete any files (apart from its own config files)? Does Stash modify the files in any way to add tagging for example?

Stash has the ability to delete files, but WITHIN CORE STASH, files are not modified. Tagging adds attributes only to stash's database, not to the file itself
