I don't see the tooltips on Linux, I've tried Reaper, Bitwig and Ardour as host. They do work fine on Mac and Windows.

They are not implemented on Linux yet. Pull requests are welcome.

I see. Meanwhile is it possible to hack a workaround? https://forums.steinberg.net/t/custom-tooltip/694061/2
