Issue relates to passing a string e.g. "medium" for "mace_off", which janus apparently tries to load as a path, rather than using the label.

This may be related to ACEsuit/mace#653, since I never managed to reproduce it with mace 0.3.6, although the predefined strings (e.g. "medium") ought to work, or at least aren't fixed by my PR to resolve that issue.
