Is there a way to just generate index.json, without building the entire project?

Summary

I have a setup where tests are ran on CI against a running storybook instance. These tests rely on storybook build having been ran so that the index.json file being present. I was wondering if there is a lightweight way to generate the index.json file, without building the entire storybook project which takes a while.
