Description
- I have checked the FAQ for answers.
- I have checked the Changelog that the issue is not already fixed.
- I believe this issue is a bug, and not a general technical issue, question or feature requests that can be discussed on the forum.
Describe the bug
I'm experiencing a weird issue, where sometimes, when Strawberry switches to a next song in the playlist, it will only play this song for a second or two and then switch to the next song. It sounds very jarrying as you hear the end of the song 1, then the first seconds of song 2 and then immediately start of the song 3. There is no crossfade between songs 2 and 3.
It seems pretty random and not song dependent (after this happens, I can go back to the song 2 and it plays without a problem).
To Reproduce
- Play a playlist in "Shuffle all" mode
- Wait
Expected behavior
Strawberry should not skip any songs after only several seconds.

My crossfade options, if that helps:
System Information:
- Operating system: Linux
- Strawberry Version: Strawberry 1.2.10
Additional context
I couldn't get strawberry to print out any meaningful logs. Even running strawberry --verbose
will only print out Loading cached moodbar data
line whenever song changes. Is there any other way I can gather more data for this issue?
Also, usually I'm playing songs of a networked drive (rclone mounted sftp mount). Could this contribute to the issue? There are no read errors or anything like that visible.
