Allow Monograph-less installation

Would it be possible to make the installation of Monograph optional for self-hosted instances? It could be as simple as avoiding checking for an active Monograph server when setting up the clients with a self-hosted deployment.
That would reduce the surface of attack and complexity of having so many services published to the internet.

EDIT: I'm acomplishing this by stopping the monograph container once all clients are set up, but that's not pretty at all.
