Custom maps -URL/API

Hello @stronnag, could you please investigate and help, why the DIY Street - which is my experimental map, dos not load in MWP?

All the three from sources.json shows in the list, OpenTopo and black map loads, only the custom does not.
I have tried several combinations of the URL and I am lost, so I do ask for help if you have little time.

The custom map URL normally loads in the browser so it is, at least as it is, a valid path.

mwp requires open standard TMS URIs. Your map provider does not (obviously) provide such URIs (they use lat, lon and zoom). You would have to write a proxy to convert between the providers requirement and TMS (as mwp does for Bing "quadkeys" and "black tiles").

I just realized, even tho it works, they are just tiles. So no layers for names of streets, cities etc.
Only the very first unsupported example provides such a layer(s).

Is it really possible to make the first one working?

I checked the example src/qproxy/gmproxy.vala and I do not think it is gonna happen. I am lost there.

Is there some settings for MWP - MapBox to choose/request my map style or it is available only for one default satelite map? I do have the token.

Sure. Just another TMS source. Add another sources.json entry, with a URI like:

https://api.mapbox.com/v4/mapbox.satellite/%(z)s/%(x)s/%(y)s.png?access_token=pk.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

replacing mapbox.satellite with your chosen style.
