current version (0.11.0) stopped working with vscode 1.98 on win 10

Are there any error messages shown in the Esbonio output channel? If you can, sharing the debug logs (enabled by setting esbonio.server.logLevel to debug) would help diagnose the issue.

However, maintaining v0.11.0 is not my main priority at the moment, I have been working towards a v1.0 for some time and the only reason I have not released it yet is that there are still some features that have not been re-implemented (see #901).

If you can make the preview version work for you then I would recommend using that at this point.

And if VSCode 1.98 has fundamentally broken v0.11.0 then I may end up having to release v1 sooner rather than later! 😅

I'm also using Esbonio version 0.11.0 which still works with VS Code 1.100.2

Just saw the VSCode pre-release version is 0.96.4, the latest "stable" version is 0.11.0. Neither seem to work for me on VSCode 1.98.2 (Ubuntu) or 1.100.2.
