Some Firefox popups not blurred - under Wayland

Just found this - and I am so glad that I finally have a solution to blurring behind transparent popups in Firefox - Thank you so much.

I noticed one problem though. Under Wayland, some Firefox popups are not blurring . In my case, I can see blur behind bookmarks menu and context menu , but no blur behind hamburger menu. They are all transparent using UserChrome.css . This is only happening in Wayland. The moment I switch to Xorg - everything is blurred okay - without making any other change anywhere .

The 'shadow' problem on popups is still there - but barely noticeable.

I am on Plasma 6.3.5 . I have the Force blur option set to 'Blur all except matching' - with no entries in the list.

Edit: Wanted to share an interesting finding about this. I am noticing that when the Firefox window is shortened such that the transparent hamburger menu spills over outside the Firefox window, over to the desktop - the background behind it suddenly blurs and stays that way as long as the menu is partially covering the Firefox window and partially the desktop. The moment I increase the size of the window such the menu fits entirely inside Firefox, the background goes back to being transparent again. Once again, all this is happening only in Wayland. Hopefully this gives a clue as to what the problem could be.

On X11 Firefox popups always have a dedicated window, on Wayland sometimes they do and sometimes not. For me they always do but when I remove all custom CSS they don't, I'll look into what causes that. The effect can only blur popups if they have a dedicated window. Apparently in the past you could use blur with the ``backdrop-filter`` CSS property but they removed that ability in the browser UI. I don't think there's currently a way to blur those popups.

Thanks for the explanation. I hope you have seen my note about how resizing the main Firefox window has different results - maybe that gives you a clue towards a solution. For now I will stick to X11 - but even with that - this plugin is a blessing since it gives me a path away from continuing to use Compiz - so thanks again.
