How to address disappearing dialog boxes?

Hi

I have a dialog box that appears for only 3 seconds. Basically its a volume button when clicked it displayed the icon to mute/unmute. By the time the decision is made by the arbigent the dialog box disappears.

Thanks. This might be difficult, but I previously encountered a similar issue that I solved by extending the auto-hide duration. I achieved this by setting a special extra for the launch (e.g., within the launch Intent).
You might need to add an implementation similar to this:

val extendAutoHideDuration = intent.getBoolean(EXTRA_EXTEND_AUTO_HIDE_DURATION, false)
if(extendAutoHideDuration) {
...
}
