As a team, all members of programming should be using the same operating
system, for communication convenience and code stability.
I consider Linux the development platform for the following reasons:

1. Opensource platform for opensource program development.
2. Standard character code.
3. Easy to compile.
4. Work perfectly with svn, though Tortoise is running well on Windows.
5. Linux will be a part of the course of Advanced Programming provided in the
sophomore year. It's a good choice to learn it in advance.

Please feel free to give your advice.
