1. Because Greek fonts tend to make the apostrophe look like the smooth breathing mark, currently the apostrophe of such fonts is recognised as a standalone koronis ̓ (U+0343) rather than an apostrophe. See https://www.opoudjis.net/unicode/gkdiacritics.html#apostrophe for background.

2. The eta in the following scan is rendered twice, as -ῆἢς, probably due to its ‘word’ initial position.
