Feature request: Endpoint calls for custom buttons

Hey, really like this project, lots of potential!

I have a chatbot of my own and it would be awesome if I can create a custom button in WritingTools that sends my input to an endpoint and replaces the input with the response (optionally some post-processing by WritingTools).

My workflow for this is customer support where my own chatbot has advanced product knowledge but the same idea is probably useful for many other workflows.

What do you think? Might be an easy quick win. Happy to test it!

That sounds like a really interesting use case.

The next update (coming in < a week! :) is going to let you choose a custom model name per button.

You can already set up a custom endpoint (as long as it's an OpenAI API compatible endpoint), and so you should be able to get "create a custom button in WritingTools that sends my input to an endpoint and replaces the input with the response" working.

If you want more than this (like different endpoints per button), I'd recommend running 2 instances of writing tools (both with different keyboard shortcuts!). One instance uses your endpoint and just has the button you want, the other can use a general LLM endpoint and be useful for the usual proofread (etc.) functions.

Any update on that? Don't seem like the option exists yet on 7.1 Windows Release.
This would be a dramatic quality of life improvement.
