Update 2021 I haven't been at LinkedIn for a long time, but still felt this was a really good answer to bring over.

I don't think these are LinkedIn-specific things, but

  1. Make things & solve problems you have. There's no better teacher than experience.
  2. Write about stuff, even if to yourself in a personal notebook. Writing helps us remember and solidifies concepts in our mind.
  3. Mentally invest in places you want to work. If it's LinkedIn, use the product & have opinions about it. The more you are able to be in the mindset of #1, the more you'll want to solve these problems
  4. Keep learning. In the frontend at least, things change yearly monthly daily. You don't need to absorb everything every …
