Close additional toolbar items on click outside

Is there a way to make the additional toolbar items panel closed when the user clicks outside the editor panel? They currently stay open and overlap other elements, even if the editor itself is no more visible.

Is there a known solution for this in the current implementation, or should I submit a feature request? Or maybe I’m simpoly not using it correctly. Thanks! 🙏
