Lane Detection not working (accuracy) using other images/video input

I was able to get everything installed and working wih included test images (e.g. test6.jpg). However, when I used my own input images and video, the lane detection did not work very well. I wonder if this issue is related to image size??? Both the video and images were 1280x720.
