Twitter API v2 supported?

The Twitter API has been announced that v2 will be the primary API.

Twitter API v1.1 will continue to be available, but will be phased out.

Does Twitter Kit5 support Twitter API v2?
If it doesn't support Twitter API v2, are there any plans to support it?
