bunzip2 compressed file ends unexpectedly error

Attempting to run apt-cyg update results in the following error:

perhaps it is corrupted? Possible reason follows.

It is possible that the compressed file(s) have become corrupted.
You can use the -tvv option to test integrity of such files.

You can use the `bzip2recover' program to attempt to recover
data from undamaged sections of corrupted files.

bunzip2: Deleting output file setup, if it exists.
mv: cannot stat 'setup': No such file or directory

hi, I had same problem like you, just remove your cygwin cache dir ( in installer 'local package directory' ) and rerun update :)

I'm getting a related error, but removing the cache dir does not help.
