Excellent Proposals so far!

Dear All,
So far, we have received 43 proposals, and many outstanding ones.
Some of you have already contributed significantly to your respective projects and the mentors are very thankful for those contributions.

Please note that we are actually reading and reviewing the proposals. If you did not receive a feedback, it is mostly just because we don't want to reply "Looks good." When/if we have a feedback, we will get back to you.

In the meantime, keep up the good work and the spirit of open-source!

Don't forget:

April 8 - 18:00 UTC: GSoC contributor application deadline

Pay attention to the timezone as well. It is best to submit your proposal early and then keep re-uploading as needed until the deadline. Please do not wait until the last minute to upload your proposals. The site might crash when there is a heavy load of concurrent accesses during the last minutes of the application period.

Google will announce the results on May 8 - 18:00 UTC.

GSoC is competitive. Last year our acceptance rate was 8% and this year this might be even lower, given we received 128 proposals. We will not be providing individual feedback on applications that are not accepted. That will be an overwhelming task.

We have a Rubrics.md that can explain how we ranked the top candidates.

The accepted proposals' abstracts will be public. But whether the entire proposal will be open or not is up to those contributors. Some open those up. But they are not expected to.
